A sun-drenched barn studio where kids press ink to paper, shape clay with flour-dusted hands, and hang still-wet canvases on the clothesline.

Mateo, age 9 · linocut, first try
Kids carve linoleum, roll ink, and pull prints on a 1940s letterpress. No two prints come out the same. That's the whole point.

He came home with ink under his nails and immediately asked when he could go back.

Pinch pots, coil bowls, hand-built creatures. Everything gets fired and glazed. By Friday, they're holding something they made from a lump of clay.

She made a tiny bowl and now it holds her earrings. I'm not allowed to move it.

Week-long immersions, Saturday drop-ins, and holiday workshops — all in the barn.
Five full days in the barn.
Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm. Each week focuses on one medium — printmaking, ceramics, textile, or plein air — with a Friday show at the clothesline.
No commitment. All the mess.
Any Saturday, 10am to 1pm. Walk in, pick a project from the day's table, and leave with something you made. Ages 5–14, no experience needed.
A full day for something special.
Themed around the season — a Fourth of July cyanotype, a Labor Day textile weave. Full-day 9am–4pm with a shared lunch under the oaks.
Natural dyes from the garden, floor looms, shibori, embroidery. Textile week is the slowest and the most meditative — kids surprise themselves.

My son who can't sit still for 10 minutes spent three hours at a loom. I cried a little.

Instead of another toy that disappears in a week — give them five mornings in a barn, hands in clay, a canvas on the clothesline with their name on it. We'll send you a printed gift card to wrap.

Every morning they paint from life — the barn, the oaks, the creek. By week four, the clothesline is full. This is when it clicks that this community is already making things without you.
